This article is a great read! As a teacher and a writer, I find the Instagram Poetry phenomenon to be at once encouraging and demoralizing… Is this new cultural wave nothing more than the propagation of ‘fast food’ consumption habits, or, does it (more optimistically) represent the positive resurgence of a ‘dying genre’ that is more accessible, more inclusive and a much needed positive form of written expression among today’s society, and for our young people, specifically? Would love to hear your thoughts!
